Malaysia, Japanese And South- Korean Search And Examination Reports

Following an amendment of the Malaysian Patent Act in 2003, the Malaysian Patent Office accepts the search or examination reports of the Japanese or South-Korean Patent Offices. The applicant who wishes to take advantage of this opportunity must file a copy of the granted Japanese or Korean patent together with an English translation of the granted claims. This will speed up the timings of the procedure.
