Intellectual property applications filed with the Indonesian Trademark Office have been increasing every year since 1999, as a result of the attraction of Indonesia as a market. Total applications in 2004 were 44, 919, and 33, 339 in 2003 against 3,468 of the USA and 2,505 of Germany. Italy registered only 377 that year.
