Iraq, Pending Applications

The ITMO (Trademark Office) has issue a new requirement relating to pending applications which were filed before the war: a certified power of attorney legalized up to the Iraqi Consulate must be submitted in order to pursue any pending application. A new Law will be issued shortly with the following changes: 1. Protection period for filing and renewal to be 10 years instead of 15. 2. Service marks from 35 to 45 will be applied instead of 42.
