Speeding Up Patent Procedures

The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO) have hired the Brazilian Federal Service of Database Process (BFSDP) to improve the system of analyzing patents and trademarks, in order to speed up the process. The current delays are of the order of 7-8 years for patents and 4-5 years for trademarks.
