New Measures Against Infringement

Based on articles 7 and 8 of the Law decree of March 14, 2005, n.35 relating to urgent dispositions to be taken in the context of an action plan for the economic, social and territorial development, new measures have been taken against infringement. A 10,000 euro fee will be applied to whoever purchases, accepts or “makes arrangements to purchase or accept” infringing goods. Moreover, the maximum penalty for the sale or provision of works and goods having distinctive signs or trademarks that can cause deceit to the consumer as per their origin or quality, has been increased to 20,000 euros.
