Supplemental Fees Pvpo
The US Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service has announced its proposal to establish supplemental fees for its Plant Variety Protection Office. This will allow the PVPO to charge supplemental fees for administrative services currently not charged for, including replenishment of seed low in germination or seed number, submission of new application data after notice of allowance but prior to certification issuance, recording any revision, withdrawal or revocation of an assignment, protest to issuance of certificate. Allowance and issuance fees will be increased to cover the costs of enhancing the electronic archiving capabilities.
