Korea, Aerospacetechnology Patent Research Institute

KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) opened the AerospaceTechnology Patent Research Institute on November 11th, 2004, to create a human network in the aerospace field, for the purpose of promoting technology development and to support acquirement of patent rights. Also, the KIPO announced that, with the recent ratification of the Korea-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (FTA), if a patent is granted in Korea, the patented technology can be registered in Singapore without patent examination.
