Bangladesh, Trade Mark Law Amendments
The Bangladesh Government has amended the Trade Marks Act 1940 and Patents and Designs Act 1911, on May 13, 2003. Changes of relevance include: 1. Trademarks: The Register (or record) of Trade Marks will not include any notice of any trust express, implied or constructive, nor shall any such notice be receivable by the Registrar. 2. The Head Office of the Department of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks shall be in Dhaka. 3. There shall be a common seal of the Department of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks as well as separate seals to indicate the separate entities.
