Romani And Bulgaria Accession To Eu
In a European Council meeting held in December 2004, Bulgaria and Romania were assessed to have completed negotiations for accession in the EU. The Accession Treaty is therefore likely to be signed with the two countries in April 2005, accession actually taking place in 2007. Croatia succeeded as candidate, and this year may see the opening of the negotiations for this country. The OHIM has established a roadmap to prepare for the imminent enlargement. At the last OHIM Administrative Board Meeting, the Board decided to invite a representative for Bulgaria and Romania to participate to the Board meetings as of May 2005 and to invite Croatia to Liaison Meetings between the OHIM and National Offices.
