Updated Ip Legislation In Malaysia

The Geographical Indications Regulations have been enacted to provide protection of geographical indications (in line with the TRIPS Agreement). Moreover, the duration of a patent has been extended up to 20 year from the application filing date. Provisions for the protection of well-known marks has been defined.
